Almost 11 months

We are into the second week of EC and Maya is doing awesome.  We are using the Gerber organic prefold cloth diapers and GroVia shells.  They are working awesome.  I have been hand washing and hang drying them everyday.  This cloth diapering has been saving us so much money.  Also Maya has not been getting any diaper rashes with this new arrangement.

Maya has been doing a great job cueing us when she needs to go to the potty.  It is amazing how smart these babies are.  Just this past week I had a catch in our car while we were in Boston.  The only problem was the back door to our car was child locked.  Luckily we were on a main drag so someone was able to open the door for us.  LOL.  Good times ECing.

Maya Update

Maya is growing so fast.  Friday, May 11 was the first time Maya actually crawled on her hands and knees only.  It's crazy how when we opened up her play area she starts crawling.  I guess she just needed the extra space.  She now owns about half of the living room.  It's all good.

EC ( Elimination Communication)

Well, just started potty training Maya.  We bought the EC ( Elimination Communication) book by Andrea Olson. http://ecsimplified.com/  We just started yesterday and Maya has already had three successful catches.  Hopefully it is easy like this for the duration of EC.  I doubt it.

To start EC, we bought 3 GroVia shells, cloth diapers as the inserts, a baby Bjorn potty, leg stockings, and a waterproof pad for diaper free time.  All costing about 50 or 60 dollars.  Not bad considering how much we will be saving in diapers.  We are still going to buy diapers for the night time wear.  So far so good.
